Ah, my perennial D.C. snow tradition continues. This morning, I wiped out on a patch of ice so spectacularly, ass over head, briefly one with God and the angels, that after gingerly getting back up and dusting myself off, I got this notification on my phone, which is a first.

just watched sesame street with my son. i don’t know. it’s not like i’m too good for it, it’s just that i know most of this stuff already. like, i work in journalism. i know 23 letters of the alphabet and i’m confident i’ll learn the rest over the course of my work. i don’t need a tv show for that

I've been trying to understand why I feel the particular flavor of distressed that I do right now. I think it's because we can no longer discuss the lessons we should be learning from any kind of disaster without the worst chucklefucks coming out of the woodwork to wreck everything.
