I think I’m pro-shame because I study activism. It’s one of the core tactics social movements successfully use to move the powerful, who might otherwise feel no obligation, toward the right position
I am an evangelist for public shaming of bad people but whenever I say this I get a bunch of breathless replies that it doesn’t work. Yet even the totally shameless act differently when collectively sanctioned.

I really, really want to try doing this on a Wii U SoC at some point but I also know the equipment is going to cost obscene amounts of money 😓

Today's "What am I doing while stuff compiles" fun was managing to upgrade a system from Fedora 28 to Fedora 38 without any intermediates. It was, uh, not smooth, and involved binary patching my package manager: https://mjg59.dreamwidth.org/67126.html
