A first novel & a good read. I didn't particularly like the characters & one part of the mystery in the plot was easily guessed but for the most part the novel kept me turning pages wondering what this supposed suicide case in an isolated island community was really all about. A satisfying read.

Finished reading this recently. Got a clear & poignant picture of Baker's personality & some of her worldview. Incredible person & life.

It would have been helpful if the editor had interspersed context, background info or explanation at times.

Anyone else read/reading this "imaginal ecology" book?

Combines a naturalist's knowledge of dragonflies with their spiritual, psychological, symbolic, mythic significance & personal meaning for the author.

Blooms bring the pollinators to our deck. Not sure what kind of wasp this is. Most here are black. Anyone know?

I'm reading this short story collection right now. A rare time that I have only a single read in progress. Usually multiple books at the same time. What's on your what-I'm-reading list?

Also wondering, how is the title for a book of short stories chosen?

#LunarEclipse using my phone camera. Not much eclipsing showing in the pic but it's weird looking so I like it anyway. 😊
