Just want to highlight that I predicted this schism between Trump and Musk. But to be fair I overlooked that Musk actually has a bit of leverage — but I don't expect it to last. www.politico.com/news/2025/06...

We have entered the era of my mostly politically discreet grandparents forwarding me emails from their nonagenarian friends containing subject lines like "JOYFULLY RESIST" and AI memes about "President Musk" and the "Toddler in Chief"

This paper is so cool. Like now that I see it, obviously I should be making visual lineups like this to test for the nonlinearity of a Level-1 covariate in a linear mixed effect model instead of applying some weird and slightly arbitrary formula

I was dragged to this NYC estate sale today for a place that was written up in the NYT a few days ago apparently. I don’t really understand it but the building was sold so the guy’s being evicted more or less (with a generous incentive to vacate quickly). Here’s some stuff I saw.

I saw this sold out talk is happening at the Boston MFA and realized I’ll be there the night before for some fundraiser that Vassar College is holding for alumni (I’m just going for the free food).
