Catalin Beldea asked me to process his images of the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse, which he observed from Clinton, Arkansas, where there were some thin cirrus clouds.
He used a Lunt 70mm f/6 refractor and a Fujifilm X-E1 camera. I combined 38 exposures from 1/4000 second to 1/8 second.

Going to share this with the kids, and once the fire danger is past (for now), discuss with them what’s different if you’re preparing for after a major earthquake. (One thing all Angelenos should do: keep sturdy shoes and socks right next to your bed.)
