Was invited to a Malaysian dinner gathering and everyone invited was Chinese speakers. My spoken Mandarin isn’t strong enough for me to engage so we just sat there mostly waiting to be included. Felt like high school all over again.

In Malta sometimes it seems like as soon as you say 'migrant', or reference a non-EU country of origin, assumptions are made about rights and entitlements, and the person is excluded before these assumptions are actually examined. In general Malta has been good to us but come on this is so basic

Only decided yesterday that I should start running again and today I registered for a 5k race which is in two weeks!! Making use of this sudden burst of enthusiasm even though the last time I ran a 5k was in 2021✌️
