Muslim, baker, candlestick maker.
To all those friends and relatives who ask me where was I even though in plain sight, I searched God everywhere and learned French. Or tried to. What a language that is.

Mest olup mestâne geldim tâ ezelden tâ ebed,
İçdiler aşkın şarâbın âb-ı engûr olmadan.

I drank, and from eternity to infinity I walked drunk,
Long before this ale of grape was drunk the Wine of Love.

Mest olanların kelâmı kendinden gelmez velî,
Pes "ene'l Hakk" nice söyler kişi Mansûr olmadan.

O Saint, the words of drunkards come not from within,
For many shout out "I am the Truth", lest they be Mansur.

If you do not act with what you have learned from the religion of God and make up to your [sinful] days, you will be of those who say: Send us back [to earth] so we will do good. And the angels will respond to you: O you fool, you already are coming from there!

Let our aggressions and sins be of our own rebellions againts ourselves and not against the Lord on behalf of the spirit of the age. Let us remember nothing is forever. Let those who once looked upon us despise us and let us rejoice for we are not the oppressors but oppressed, weak and meek.

The infidel is not a man who rejects but he is a man who dies in rejection. Every breath is a good breath that can call upon the Face of the Lord, and every sight is a good sight that can see it. We lose many for His sake, but the loss of the Hereafter is indeed a bigger loss.

He blew His Spirit then turned His Face upon man when He decreed to create him, watching over him as long as he wants Him to be his guardian against the discord of the earth. This is how he lives unless he lets the discord overtake him, wants to be of people and not the Lord, and dies.

I suffer from stomach illnesses for some time which hits me spontaneously during the prayers. When it happens I try and hasten my recitation just to go down in prostration quickly, it relaxes me instantly both physically and spritiually.
