TOP/BOTTOM vs DOM/SUB Know the difference! Top vs Bottom It's PHYSICAL! A position or act. Top: Active, or insertive role Bottom: receiving role Doing both? That's vers! (versatile) *Not always sexual. BDSM use may differ. Dom vs. Sub It's PSYCHOLOGICAL! Consensual power dynamic. Dom: Power role, leader, guide, protector Sub: Guided or dominated Doing both? That's a switch! Different languages or communities may use these terms in other ways. If unsure, just ask! Mix it up! People can change to any combination, or none at all. Sub top, Switch, Vers Dom, Bottom, Top switch Remember! Mannerisms, age, height, and gender DO NOT dictate what someone enjoys! Labels are not boxes, they're communication tools that can evolve for people over time.
