I will say one thing that makes me laugh is that when someone says that something can't be done. Especially when I know it's been done, and is currently being utilized. So effectively by stating that it is doable and how to do it may have lit a small fire under some engineers.

I am actually thrilled from yesterdays data recovery session - I managed to get 99.99% of the data from the backup drive. This is why when it comes to servers, ALWAYS set up the god damn backup drive. When it comes to PCs get a cloud backup service. But most importantly replace tech often.

ugh - definitely did not have good night. I think I may have an out however I was not expecting a corrupt set of data. So this means I have to check things and buy 2 2 tb drives - this way I can clone both disks and preserve what is present

That fun moment when I consider building my own NAS for two reasons specifically. The first is to try an OS for it. The second is to be able to offload ALL my SSD storage to it.

Though the first reason has a sub reason attached - potentially to try a virtualized system set up for it.
