Haha, very much so! Often find them napping in there during the day now 😊. We are still getting used to it ourselves though..more work having to put down bedding & clean out regularly which we never need to do when they’re camping outside, but it’ll be a looot of free compost for us next year!

Haha it’s the name of a hazelnut- I see your bio says you are from Oregon so you and Yamhill have that in common :)

Haha I hear you, anything is better than callery. There must be a planting in our town because seedlings pop up everywhere at our place :/ We’ve been grafting Asian pears on them & the growth is crazy, probably fruit in 1-2 yrs! Works having a tree plant itself & decide where it’s happy I guess.

With regular pruning over the next 200 years you could easily keep them under 100’ 🙃

If anything I doubt they will ever try peanut butter again 🥵

Yes sleeping inside for now! Daytime attacks happen but less common, esp here they would need to get thru our 6’ deer fence w/ electric, down into a valley towards house & very busy road, then through the sheep’s 4’ electric fence. A lot of risks in daylight, I think they prefer not to be so exposed

Life’s mission to keep them safe 😊

We are definitely sleeping better also with our lil team inside for the first time! We keep a close eye on their multiple layers of elec fencing & trail cams but you never know! A little more expensive now supplementing with night hay, which we usually only give them in Dec-March, but worth it :)
