I was always pretty sure I'd see the day "Dead Internet Theory" would be proven right.

But the thing is, if they take the time and intellectual honesty to really understand why he won then they have to admit they have been wilfully ignoring people for the past 8+plus years.

I always like seeing more and more people (and organizations) move towards open source.
In a large way, movement to these platforms can be strongly affected by trust and reputation. Having reputable government institutions use a service lends it credibility and allows non-technical people to trust

An update you can't really stop.

Linux mint is definitely a great choice! Especially for gaming.
Would also look into PopOs. I know it doesn't have as big a fan crowd but I have heard solid things.

Look I get it, Ubuntu is not the best and I could also mention Fedora (for example). And yes, elementaryOS also exists but I just wanted to give a couple of strong options.
Imo most people shouldn't go head first into arch.
