Tomato distributor and guerilla street tree planter in Midtown Indy since 2017. Do visit in September for local honey sales!
Best I can do for you is an Italian cop.

Another clandestine street tree planting, this Sassafras albidum shows off its vibrant autumn leaf colors. 🌿🍂🌱

I have my Dad's flight parka from his service in the Army Air Corps in WWII. He'd only wear it to shovel out the driveway in the winter.

I gave the queen of the night plant a very dilute drink of flower fertilizer and was rewarded with SEVEN blooms!

Drove from Indy to New Paltz so my MIL could meet her grand-dog. Totally worth it 👌

Some people urge schools to bring back teaching cursive writing.
Others insist that kids are overburdened in school already and they don't need to use an archaic writing system.
*I* say let's INCENTIVIZE learning cursive and see how fast those kids pick it up.

Post all the crap you want about the Midwest: this is the perfect sound to help wind down a day with a drink.

Both the Herr Doktor Professor and I are down with covid for the first time since 2022. Neighbors tell us that it's rampant right now in schools and workplaces all over Indiana: why aren't we seeing this on the news?

We have our first monarch visitor of the season! Hopefully a female who will deposit some eggs on our milkweed. 🌱🌿

I went into the garden to pick dill for potato salad and these black swallowtail caterpillars beat me to the harvest. Very happy to share with them. 🌿🌱🦋

Regulations. Index. I had an entire office full of geography majors panting over my shoulder during the production of this publication, so it covered all bases.

If you zoom in, you'll see that each half, as well as each inset, has a key. The half-city maps also have scales in both imperial and metric. Hope that helps you.

We also did a smaller project for just the Burke-Gilman. Those 'candid' photos of 'everyday' people on the trail are really me and my coworkers posing for a professional photographer.

I even made sure that the north arrow's tire included a valve. The heron was very difficult to draw. I freehanded it looking at a WA DNR wetlands poster hanging above my workstation.

And I totally forgot about all the fun icons I added! I drew them in Arc, not the ideal digital art platform . . . .

Found it! January 95. We divided the city into overlapping N/S sections so that the map could be printed two-sided.

Lonicera sempervirens, native to the eastern US, glows up beautifully at sunset. I started this plant as a cutting to provide forage for hummingbirds and other pollinators.

I made an impulse purchase of a small Sassafras albidum tree and popped it in across the street. I love its form, its interesting bark, its clusters of tiny flowers in the spring. It's doing well as a street tree and not suckering badly at all. 🌱

When your own republic is looking kinda sketchy, it's heartening to celebrate another country who soundly rejected a king . . . FOREVER.

Happy Irish Republic Day!
