Nurse practitioner on 3 missions: teaching, practicing, and leading. Cat mom, newly-ish-wed, rusty salsa dancer, personal finance and macroeconomics nerd, democratic socialist, and Christian. Nostalgic for the bird app from 2015-2019. Staying 80% hopeful.
There are sole conservative people in my life who consistently remind me they don’t like what I post but for whatever reason they don’t stop following me. It’s almost like the “wok liberal ideas I promote make sense 🧐

Since the last time I was truly active on the bird app, I fell in love, got married, finished my PhD, started a new job, and we are now considering starting a family! Life between 30-35 went by fast. It was grueling at times (PhD) and so sweet too (marriage). Thankful to have my health & community.

One of the downsides of being a healthcare provider is that when your family gets diagnosed with something serious, you wonder why you didn't know it sooner. 😑

- Stripping 1.5+ million people of temporary status
- End of refugee resettlement
- Cutting legal immigration and adding new visa bans
- Overall slowdown of legal immigration
- End to asylum through Kafkaesque rules
- Brutality against asylum seekers
- Increased arrests, detention, and removals.
So what IS on the list of likely things people should be afraid of?

Advanced approaches to money (what am I missing?)

"What % of net worth should our primary residence be?"

"How do we allocate unexpected income?"

"What % should we increase our investment rate by every year?"

"Where are we spending $ that we should eliminate?"

"How can we be teammates w/our $?"
