What are you referring to?

To set it up, tap on your line in Status, tap the bell icon and hit save!

Instead, we've carefully crafted short sentences to tell you exactly what type of disruption is affecting your line, which part of the line, and even which direction of travel! If you want more information, just tap on the notification and you can see the full status message inside TfL Go

Given we're catching up to the other apps in this space, we wanted to do something a bit different, so if you set these up, you'll notice that our notifications aren't just telling you the status, or sending you the full status message which can be a lot to interpret sometimes...

Until very recently, using TfL Go meant you had to remember to check the app each time, otherwise you wouldn't know about any disruptions. Thanks to a heap of effort from many people I work with, now you can set up notification settings for the TfL lines you usually take.

Most apps these days are nice enough to offer something better, proactive notifications so you can hear about these issues ideally before you head out, giving you time to adjust your travel, or change your plans entirely if you have that flexibility.

I'm curious!

Unfortunately there's a lot of legacy tech involved so it's taking us a little while to do this, but it's definitely in the works
November 19, 2025 at 4:49 PM
We're working on that 😃

That’s usually just the hold, the actual charge may not have processed yet. You can check this in TfL Go if you have an account and your card is registered.

Turnpike Lane to Old Town Hall? Trying to reproduce this

I’d love to hear when this happens - my team looks after the TfL journey planners
October 22, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Ahhh yeah that’s not helpful at all! Happy to talk more about TfL Go and how we can improve that - this feels like a good place to start

Damn. Sometimes a closure can get missed by the control centre - I’ll send this to them to correct.
October 8, 2025 at 6:03 PM
Yup it’s mad and it’ll work normally again in a few weeks whether we fix it or not 🤣
October 2, 2025 at 5:44 PM
A legit bug! 😃
October 2, 2025 at 5:37 PM
That is an unfortunate daylight savings bug that we have yet to fix.
