Look, nothing to see here....
Move it along.
I stole part of this from a friend and love the idea...
20 days, 20 movies that shaped who I am.

For reference, I am 52.

Movie #11, "Mommy Dearest".

Sometimes you need to see it to understand that it's happening to you.

Movie #10, "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?"

I didn't see this movie until I was 19, recovering from the C-section birth of my first daughter. Talk about a brain cracker!

Movie #9, "Rosemary's Baby", is the first movie I remember seeing where I felt fear. Tense, mental fear. The kind so many women know now to be abusive gaslighting.

Movie #8, "Orphèe", was the first subtitled foreign film I saw in a theater. I thought I was so cultured. I was obsessed with Greek mythology and Hades, the Underworld.

Movie #5 "Judgement at Nuremberg", was a surprise watch, as my Aunt, who was only 12 years older than me, watched for a school report. It stuck with me. A thoughtful watch.

Movie #4, "Nosferatu", the 1979 version with Klaus Kinski. And so began my fascination with vampyres and vampire lore. Also, my love of bats. Because they're awesome! 🤓

Movie #3 is "Dr. Strangelove"

Talk about political satire becoming far too realistic.....

I'm really behind, so movie #2 is ..... "The Wizard of Oz".
My Ninny made this movie a yearly event for us with popcorn and a pallet on the floor. It's one of my best memories.

Quite shameful.... 😈
It'd be a shame if the terms "swasticars" and "Muskolini" caught on. #swasticars #Muskolini

I've done a lot of things in my life. I've been a bartender, done data entry, lots of food service (my parents owned a Chinese restaurant), front desk clerk, night audit clerk, housekeeper, karaoke dj, bar waitress, and a nanny. But my most favorite job is being a writer.
I just wish it paid more.

Have you ever looked at an image from the Hubble telescope and wonder, is there a place like Earth out there where everyone is struggling because of manufactured bullshit causing different races/sexes/beliefs to hate each other too? Or are we alone in this bullshit? It feels lonely.

Day one: 'The Rose' starring Bette Midler.
I was 7, about to turn 8 when this movie came out. My parents took us to the drive inn to see a Bugs Bunny movie, then go to sleep,

This one is a special treat….id like to say that the Phooka isn’t like this in my book series…but that would be a lie.

We're on the leading edge of a precipice. We can come together and pull ourselves back on solid ground- or we can keep ignoring the problem and keep giving awful, evil people a pass, and fall. I'm NOT going over, screw that. Knock out punches for Nazis, bigots, zenos, and racists all day, every day.

I will never watch a single thing video of that man... I have the right to boycott his face and his voice, and the fear he instills in people which in turn incites violence. I won't be forced to watch him. I will read articles to stay informed of course, but nothing he makes, no posts, no videos.

Since I don't have any of my FB, Insta, or TikTok peeps on here, I think I'll just share pics of things I make or photos of stuff I love. Can't hurt nothing. 🤓
