They're building a Taco Bell in Red Lion. I've never lived in walking distance of a Taco Bell before. (It's a little less than a mile.)

LinkedIn: You should apply for this job!

Me: Wow, this job would be great! It fits my skills, it pays well, and it's with a relief charity that does good work!

Something like these, particularly the wife and husband combo.

Such a sad place, Mt. Carmel. Neglected for so, so long.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

An email I wrote to my Congressman, Lloyd Smucker (R-Toady), asking him to vote next week in favor of the release of the Epstein Files. Highlighting that the release could destroy Democrats seems like the right way to go.

A vulture taking off from the grave of Napoleon's nephew, Jerome Bonaparte. His father, also named Jerome, was the idiot King of Westphalia.

A tree collapsed recently on Confederate Hill, probably in the very heavy winds we had earlier in the week.

The Robert E. Lee statue was unfortunately spared.

A ladybug on my great-great-grandmother's stone this afternoon. He didn't like having his picture taken, so he crawled where I couldn't see him anymore.

I have photos of Grammer's grave from July 4, 2020.

The bench I sat on? For Ensign Markland Kelly, who died at the Battle of Midway. And, right there was Dr. Grammer's family plot.

It's a weird habit of mine, taking photos of things before I go and look for them.

Good day for cemetery traipsing.

Facebook reminds me that today is the fourth anniversary of the ransomware attack on Diamond.

At least there were donuts. (Looking at my picture, I believe that was the old cubicle of Nick Pentz, now with Dynamite Entertainment.)

I spent the day building LEGO-esque stuff before packing it in.

If Henry did not die before 1902, then this is his grave in Baltimore. It's the flat stone at the front with the flag (which I left). Henry and his wife Helen are there, and the two identical sons in the background are their two sons, both of whom died within a month of turning 21. :(

Victory did not feel assured. A bad roll, and I could easily be in a position where white breaks out, takes my pieces back to the start, and I never recover.

I offered to double, knowing Xgammon would likely resign in this position.

Xgammon resigned.

I won, I guess, but it didn't feel satisfying.

Maybe I shouldn't apply for this job after all...

Even when I was a Methodist, I wouldn't say that "salvation experience" was a thing.

Indeed: Here's a local job you'd be a match for!

Me: AI? I have to AI savvy? Uhh, no.

Me: What do they do anyway? (Google search leads to website.) They're a roofing company, and that's the stock art on their website? Her facial expression is murdering him!

My favorite, however, has to be the one where I had a fifty question survey to answer about my propensity for workplace violence and my drug use. Case in point...

And this was for a marketing job! What marketing job is a workplace battle royale?!?

I can't imagine there are many American cemeteries with Crimean War veterans, but there's one in York's Prospect Hill Cemetery.

No, LinkedIn. While I need a job, this would offend my morality and cost me my soul.

Hunt Valley! Cockeysville!

I will never, ever forget actress Eve Myles repeatedly calling the latter "Cocksville" during a sci-fi convention at the resort Keith talks about in the former.

While I was out yesterday, I stopped to take photos of a derelict Lutheran church in downtown York. It had a small cemetery, plus a number of grave markers, in German and English, lined up against a wall.

It may get redeveloped into a community center.

Washington had a "victory arch" on Pennsylvania Avenue near the Treasury Building. It was built for Pershing's army in 1919.

I cannot think of anything less befitting Washington and the Virginia shore than a "triumphal/victory arch."

@fullstorybaltimore.tours I used to use a version of your header image -- Edward Sachse's series of paintings of Baltimore -- as my desktop wallpaper. Such a great piece of art.
