Always keep one in the chamber (a stick of butter in the freezer so you can make pie crust)

Little red dragonflies are slowing down enough to be intercepted but the big blue dragonflies are still sharp.

Nonprofits be like 'Please create a fun, engaging, all ages educational activity for this event. Your budget is $0.00 but you can use these pipe cleaners, this jar of expired sunbutter and this box of like new Kerry 2004 golf pencils. Oh and it'd be great if we could make back staff time on this!'

Making peace with the rabbits in my garden. They get bites of greens and raspberries and in return I get to use the word Varmint in real life. #gardenfeed

As a little girl older women around me read Sue Grafton but said it was Too Grown for me. Now I'm grown so I finally picked up a B is for Burglar from a little free library to see what all the fuss was about. So far it's like if Nancy Drew was a little cynical and lived in Northern California.

Melon Ratings: Canary Melon
This one was so good I forgot to take a picture. It was like a juicy banana. 4/5 stars could've been a little tangier

Being in the DSA is like having an unpaid part time administrative job except every so often someone comes by and calls you a terrorist

The Bear Gulch fire has burned the Mt. Rose trail. In 2018 @thebuttercat.bsky.social and I climbed it, it was tough but it was a beautiful view from the top. There were signs of wildfires, but it was recovering. Now its back at square 1. Wildfires are natural, but not this many so close together.

Surprised the Twitter people even deleted Grok's MechaHitler posts. How can they say it's not telling them exactly what they wanted to hear? Is that not who the right has become? They're staring into the abyss and it's staring back, but they're missing the point.

Pepino Melon: It was like a bland watery tomato with the texture of a peach and a banana aftertaste. 2 stars. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't get it again.

After realizing I'd only ever tried the big 3 (Honeydew, Watermelon, Cantaloupe) I've decided to try new melons. First up, unlabled yellow melon found at the store. Even the cashier didn't know what it was and rang it up as a cantaloupe.

I saw a rat way out in the forest once on the Olympic Peninsula, and I was so struck by it, because it had never occurred to me that rats live in the woods too. It seemed out of place, like it ought to be hanging out behind a restaurant somewhere, but maybe it thought the same thing about me, lmao

Despite being imprisoned by a fickle, violent egomaniac and forced to cohost a talk show, Zorak is relentless in his petty, spiteful hating. Yet he's always ready to strike such as hitting Spaceghosts grandpa w/ a steel chair. This is the kind of energy we need to bring against the rise of fascism.

Millennials need to chill with nostalgia wallowing. Nothing wrong with appreciating the past, but idolizing it often becomes a Fall of Man mentality denigrating the present and writing off the future. tbh much of millennial nostalgia is for those who could afford cable/trendy clothes/novelty foods.

Posts and articles are coming out defending costly mocktails. Yet somehow every family Mexican restaurant serves 16 oz of delicious agua fresca for like $5? Among the best drinks I had last summer was watermelon strawberry basil seed agua fresca from a taco stand and it was 6.50 after tip.

Found this beautiful shell at
Chambers Bay yesterday. Apparently it's cone snail of some kind and typically found in Japan and Hawaii! Incredible to think it tumbled across the Pacific Ocean and arrived in one piece. Forgive my profoundly ashy palm it was a dry ass 33 degrees lmao.

I'm playing BG3 and my sorcerer can't cast magic if he's wearing armor. Not even padded armor. At first I thought it made no sense but then it occured to me I wouldn't be passing any charisma checks in a puffer coat either.
