Granted, as I am working on my final lap of grad school I am juggling my own assigned curriculum - but am already daydreaming about studying + learning new things of my choosing. This one feels particularly relevant: analogsocial.substack.com/p/critical-t...

Always amusing to me that the music that was the soundtrack of me rebelling as a teenager is now the music I run to as an adult to stay healthy.

This 2023 post (bobhutchins.medium.com/the-rise-of-...) from @bobhutchins.bsky.social has me contemplating about most of my internet activities: what contributes to creating this cozy space for myself and others and what is just noise to distract me?

I'm using @obsidian.md to assist in organizing my notes, citations and sub-themes for my capstone & I haven't felt this much joy in setting up an app in a LOOOOONG time.

💭How do I write about Mad studies/culture in a way that both lands with readers who are unfamiliar but also doesn't water down elements of activism + collective liberation? (context: I have to write a 50+pg paper prior to graduation in 2026)

Academic hoop-jumping is exhausting.

I got super cool Auntie points for recommending this book to my nibling: "The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science" by Kate McKinnon.

'This app became my best friend': Mourning is human. New grief apps want to 'optimise' it for you
People are turning to 'grief apps' to cope with the loss of family and friends. But the new world of death data raises troubling questions.

Signal is the gold standard for internet communication that you can be sure is not being passively monitored by a government or corporation. it’s a small step, but it’s very useful. even if it’s literally the only thing you do, just using Signal helps other people stay safe.

An article (atlasobscura.com/articles/wha...) about funeral pie got me thinking...
--what are the funeral foods in your life that you make or give in times of grief?
--would you share the recipe with me for a piece I'm writing?
The Death of Pennsylvania’s Forgotten Funeral Pie
