Labour is at its best when we are clear about whose side we are on, and in whose interests we serve, when our values shine through.

I want us to be clear that our objective is to lift children out of poverty and that will mean we need to lift the 2 child benefit cap www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...
Labour should consider hiking gambling tax to fight child poverty, Powell says
Deputy leadership hopeful Lucy Powell said Gordon Brown's proposal to hike gambling tax to fund axing the two-child benefit limit should get 'careful consideration'

It is a shame that we have to combat misinformation and defamation like this. What an earth are they thinking exposing female politicians to such risks from idiots and misogynists looking for an excuse to abuse and threaten.
I want residents to be aware that I have received threats of death and violence directly posted in response to a misleading video recently shared by the MP for Keighley and Ilkley, Robbie Moore.

This offender forced a woman to have an abortion without her consent & caused her long-term harm.

I welcome the Court of Appeal’s decision to increase his sentence following my referral under the Unduly Lenient Sentences scheme 👇

About time Kemi realised there’s a problem with creative industries & AI, months after Labour started tackling it. Creatives have been raising concerns for years while her party did nothing. Another bandwagon moment, ignoring 14 years of Tory failure to support British creatives.
Labour’s plans to reform copyright laws to make it easier for AI companies to operate in the UK are not fit for purpose and must be halted, Kemi Badenoch has said ⬇️

The Prime Minister is walking the diplomatic tight rope expertly here: uncompromising in support of Ukraine’s fight while seeking to influence US opinion. www.thesun.co.uk/news/3351474...

Since announcing my diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer a few weeks ago I’ve become increasingly aware of how misunderstood the condition is.

So I want to debunk a few misconceptions:

Labour has trippled the emergency winter rough sleeping fudning.

An additional £239 580 to Stoke-on-Trent to help the most vulnerable find safe and secure housing. Everyone deserves a warm bed and hot meals.

Through the Plan for Change, we can end homelessness for good.

I too welcome the news that we will be standing strong for women
I join the Malala Fund in welcoming this news that the UK Government are joining the CEDAW case against the Taliban.

This is an important step towards addressing the injustices committed against the women of Afghanistan.

A shared digital platform between NHS and care will be transformative and help smooth the patient pathway. Excellent news. Delighted too to hear of significant investment in the disability grant to allow people to improve their homes.
Successive governments have failed on social care. It’s not a shortage of good ideas that’s the problem, but a shortage of good politics.

Today that changes with Louise Casey.

Britain has a social care crisis. Here’s how we’ll work together to fix it 👇🏻

Recovery after 14 years of decay does not happen overnight, but we can now see that recovery is possible. We will get out NHS and health and care services back on track.
Since the general election, we’ve hit the ground running on the NHS: ending doctors’ strikes, starting to cut waiting lists, investing in GPs, hospices…

A lot done, a hell of a lot more to do. But as I look to 2025, I can see the road to recovery.

Wes Streeting: I’ve put our broken NHS on the road to recovery
As health secretary I’ve ruffled some feathers this year, but I don’t intend to make excuses. By July, you’ll be able to see whether we kept our promises
