📖📚I’m mostly here for the bookish vibes 📚📖
I wish I knew why posts like this were necessary? I think in the current climate we’re all pretty certain that we are insignificant; no need for reminders.

Also, if you have the special edition, check inside the dust jacket…. 🤖

I’m a couple of chapters in, I will honestly say that it is on the dense side. The magic system is on the “technical” side.

Physical - Blood Over Brighthaven
Audio - Jane Eyre

Enjoying both!

I would actually love a recommendation for an aromatic fantasy. I was excited that we might be one small step closer to smell-o-vision

Well, it’s not THE goriest, but it was definitely more so than I expected. Some of the ways that people are killed (by way of “experimenting” with magic) was kind of a lot for me. I had to skim at times.

Ugh. These kids won’t have a full week of school until April at this rate.

I’ve read Wuthering Heights and wasn’t a major fan of it. I’ll put persuasion on the list :)

Yeah, I tried a reread given that it’s been at least a decade(?) since I’ve read it and disliked it. I didn’t last long; it’s really not for me.

I enjoyed it but I admit to not adoring it. I took the Louisa May Alcott and LM Montgomery paths at the formative age when I likely would have enjoyed Jane Austen the most.
A bit late to the party but I wanted to at least give her a try given how revered she is.

As an elder millennial I cannot count the amount of times I have seen clueless 😂 I may have even read the follow-on novels that were released after the movie came out

If you mean Daphne Du Maurier’s Rebecca, I have read that one and loved it :)

Haha 😆 I figure I have watched so many adaptations of Emma through the years that surely I can mark it as read?

I know I read Wuthering Heights when I was a late teenager going through a “I’ll read the classics” phase. My memory isn’t pulling up much to recollect, I don’t think it was a fave.

It’s not a bad idea to try them on audio; I know I’ve seen a few for free from time to time. Perhaps they’d be easier to parse, I have to admit the language of the time is not always the easiest for me to read when I’m a bit tired.

I’ll put that on the top of the list :)
