I would love to know who at Michael’s approved this. I’m sure the black lines are supposed to be closed eyes and the circles cheeks, but it looks like the apple has evil red eyes with eyebrows showing sinister intent.

It would have been cool if I had the forethought to write down what type of beans and peas I was growing so that when it came time to pick them I would have the slightest clue. I trust @halifaxretales.bsky.social can make something edible with them either way.

Steeple Green bookstore in Musquodoboit Harbour is worth traveling to just to pet the shop dog, Frank, who I forgot to take a picture of, but did skritch the head of for a few solid minutes. They also have this beautiful shop cat.

I studied cults and new religious movements for years. It takes a lot shock or upset me when it comes to religious fringe groups, but Bethel Church trying to resurrect a little girl named Olive who died in her sleep is up there on the list. Sean Faucht was one of the people involved.

I had to go to the desk at the library to pick up a book for my work book club because I lost my card. The kid in front of me was talking to the staff about his summer reading challenge and I joked after that I wished they had one for adults, and it turns out they do! This is too much fun!
