I’ve seen it identified as Strange Behavior (1981). A film I don’t know at all but putting it out there to be confirmed or denied (by somebody if not you).

In 1996 I was lucky to see Jack Klugman and Tony Randall in a London stage revival of The Odd Couple in which their poker buddies were Britcom stars Rodney Bewes, Trevor Bannister and Henry McGee. In 1966-67 Klugman had starred in the first U.K. production with (Beatles alert!) Victor Spinetti!
