Wow, Phil, that’s a great summing up. I was at the match, but sitting with Chelsea fans in the West stand, so I had to behave myself! But that match was so, so enjoyable. Came away feeling that something really special is happening. Wonderful day. #SAFC

Not sure what to make of this. 4-3-3 or 3 at the back? Alderete could play at left back, but that would break up his partnership with Mukuele.

Just reading about the apparent muscle injury, be a significant miss, particularly given the match in which he was injured was only a friendly.

I’m think RLB will want to keep the usual 433 shape, but I’ve honestly no idea who might replace Sadiki. Would personally have a lot of confidence in Dan Neil, but it would also be interesting to see Geertruida play in the middle.

Definitely a move I’d like to see. Alderete would offer a huge amount moving up and down the left wing. He’s a proper Rolls Royce, Bentley, Ferrari all rolled into one.

Xhaka must be one of the best signings anywhere. His influence immense. Is there anyone in the squad who can offer what he does if he’s injured or suspended?
