So happy to be at Chelsea yesterday and watch a stunning win. The team adapted brilliantly to a new formation, and despite Chelsea having so much of the ball, I just felt all along that we could win this. So proud of those lads. We’ve got a fantastic group of players. #SAFC #TilTheEnd

Desperately bad news coming out of Sheffield Wednesday, with a high chance of the club being placed in administration. One man, hell-bent on destroying one of the great clubs of English football. People like Chansiri should be kicked out of football. #SAFC #SWFC #ChansiriOut

We’ve always done the 'Sunlun thing'. Beat a couple of big teams, and then lose to some strugglers at home. It's happened more times than I can remember. Then yesterday, we didn't do 'typical Sunlun'. We beat a struggling team. Hope it's the big sign that things really are changing. #SAFC

What a brilliant podcast, recommend you give it a listen! Two great journalists in Phil Smith and James Copley being joined by Jonathan Wilson who is arguably the best football writer in the world. He’s also a massive lads fan! Fantastic listen. #SAFC #Sunlun
We had the absolute pleasure of being joined by @jonawils.bsky.social on the pod today. Pretty sure you'll enjoy!

Loads of stuff discussed both on Jonathan's new book and ofc all things #SAFC

Courtesy of the Sunderland Echo, heartwarming photo of lifelong fan George Forster’s 99th birthday this week. Far better than reading some of the depressing news stories around at the moment.

With much debate about journalists favouring Twitter over Bluesky, full respect to Phil Smith at the Sunderland Echo. He’s really good at using Bluesky, and for obvious reasons, he’s a great source of reliable news about #SAFC #Sunlun

Great challenge for Regis now, he simply has to play Mukiele, Alderete and Ballard in the same team. They are absolutely brilliant #Sunlun #SAFC

Got to be pleased with the point. This side is full of passion and never stops. Ballard scared Villa every time we had a set piece, and Mukiele is off-the-scale brilliant. #SAFC #TilTheEnd

The need for news during the transfer window made me look at ‘the other side’. It’s truly awful, so much bigotry and attempts by really unpleasant people to influence opinion. Just wish more of the really top quality #SAFC journalists would make more use of Bluesky.

Excellent article by Phil Smith in the Echo about Patrick Roberts’ legacy. A story of mutual respect between club, player and fans. Give it a read.
Wanted to write a few words about Pat Roberts - one of my favourite Sunderland players to watch.

Hopefully there's still another chapter or two but if not, what a pleasure

Patrick Roberts to Birmingham. That leaves an empty feeling. Love him as a player, and we wouldn’t have got to the Premier League without him. Wish him well, and consoling myself it’s only a loan, so he could return at some point #EndOfAnEra #Sunlun

So, it’s finally deadline day. Exciting is an understatement. Long day for the #SAFC journos today. Going to be looking at Bluesky a lot, really trying hard to avoid the cesspit for news today.

So, Marc Guiu is heading back to Chelsea. What can I say, bizarre on Chelsea’s part? They were happy to loan him out for a season, now they can’t cope without him. Will go down as one of strangest transfers of the season. #TilTheEnd #SAFC

What a week for Wilson! His birthday, a new born baby, and the winning goal! Ha’way the lads! #TilTheEnd #Sunlun

I still from time to time look at Twitter, because some of the best #SAFC journalists still do most of their posting there (because they have huge numbers of followers). But the reactions of so-called fans on there is often abusive, especially if we lose. Really do value Bluesky even more now.

Ok, so we lost to Burnley. But some of the negativity on social media is ridiculous. This is the Premier League ffs, Burnley deserve to be here just as much as us. They beat us, big deal, it’s what happens in this league. It’s what we learn that really matters. Trust Reggie to get it right! #SAFC

If you haven’t looked at Football Heritage yet, then you should give it a try. Some great stuff published here.

This year, the Cosmos started the newest chapter in their history as they begin life anew in the USL as a sustainable, community-centred club.

Just watched the match again on the #SAFC website. It’s really early to say this, but, honestly, this was a performance that you wouldn’t expect from a newly promoted side. Great that the goals came from the promotion team, but the new boys really are something else. We’ve got a genuine chance here.
