Frost is so good at communicating. It's a shame that more people don't know of him.
Frost: It doesn’t end there. Minutes later—this administration, from Stephen Miller to Kristi Noem to the vice president to the president, labeled her a domestic terrorist.

And then, my Republican colleagues have the gall to talk to us about due process.

Neo-liberals are going to come out and say "yeah this is good, trans people should be banned from competing" and still say they're "allies". This is comedically bad. If you want to ban things due to "biology", then separate by ethnicity and race (1/3)

Father Mother Sister Brother is a very Jim Jarmusch movie, especially in its simplicity and style. However like any Jarmusch movie, his intent will not work for everyone. This has all the Jarmusch signatures: ironic dramedy, observational humor, and motifs that don't always work. (1/3)

In the Bedroom catapulted Todd Field into the "generational director" discussion, this is a phenomenal feature film debut. This is widely considered to be one of the best movies of the century. This is a great example of intentional film making, (1/3)

Bovino also went on TV and said people in Minneapolis protesting against DHS were "weaker-minded constituents" of Walz and Frey. When I raised that on X, he responded to my post by doubling down.

The Man from Earth is not a movie made for the mass audiences, but has its legacy as a cult movie that embraced file sharing/pirating. This may be one of the rare movies (maybe the only movie) where the producer thanked pirates for sharing the movie. (1/2)

Noiseman Sound Insect being made available on YouTube is an amazing decision. A short film directed by the legendary Koji Morimoto (most known for his work on 'Akira') that was difficult to find online. The story itself is incoherent (1/2)

Official Secrets is part espionage thriller, journalism drama, and legal drama. The blending of all the three genres are perfect for eachother, it's a shame that we do not see the three together more often. (1/2)

A Writer’s Odyssey might be one of my personal favorite Chinese fantasy movies, it might not be the most original story but there's something to it that I just love. I went into this expecting an isekai, (1/2)

Fargo S3 feels like the weakest season so far, which if the weakest season is an objectively good season then that's saying something of a series. The finale unfortunately feels very weak, and the overall season does feel very redundant. (1/3)

I'm convinced that if Barack Obama didn't give Homan the Presidential Rank Award, Homan would not have gotten as much influence within immigration circles as he did.
Homan: "We gotta stop the hateful rhetoric. Saying this officer is a murderer is dangerous. It's just ridiculous. It's gonna infuriate people more which means there's gonna be more incidents like this."

Boston Strangler pulls a ton of influence from 'Zodiac', but ends up just feeling like an imitation of it at some points. This is a "based on" movie, and condenses the timeline of events for the purposes of its narrative but does seem to be an accurate enough movie. (1/2)

The people who mock gender studies are perversely the most compelling case for studying it
Wifi was down at the WH today so I didn’t get to post this, which, once again people: everything is gender.

There's I guess a difference between keeping him after he admitted to the charges and inviting him to a fan event - both are bad.

Also got curious if he was playing he is in the Mexican League.
Oh: Addison Russell is Coming to CubsCon for the 2016 World Series Anniversary Reunion

Saw that video of the TikTok woman who had a standoff with ICE on her front lawn, and it's crazy that she was lied to that she was "harboring" a fugitive. Just because the person is brown and isn't white does not make anyone a fugitive. I'd gladly "harbor" anyone being chased by ICE.

Is This Thing On? might not appeal to a wide audience, and is a "trust the process" movie that makes the journey worth it. The first half of the movie can feel like a slow burn, but it lays the foundation perfectly. This is another really good outing for Bradley Cooper the director, (1/3)

Hard video to watch, but about as close as you can get to conclusively disproving the Trump admin's claims that she deliberately attempted to run down the officer. She even talks nicely with him moments before!

Note also that the officer is focused more on filming her than on anything else.
🚨 NEW VIDEO 👇🏽This puts an end to all the lies. Horrific.

They were having a calm exchange seconds before he murdered Renee Good, and she was barely moving and clearly avoiding him.

Stop the lies.

Tombstone was the very first western that I ever watched. When I first watched this I thought this was the most perfect movie ever made, and while it's far from a perfect movie it's still an enjoyable watch. (1/2)

I keep emphasizing this point because I am worried that some US citizens who are doing rapid response may have the false belief that it is illegal for ICE/Border Patrol to arrest them, and out of this incorrect belief respond in ways that make it *more likely* they get arrested or brutalized.
Flatly wrong. No, it is not true that ICE only has jurisdiction over immigration issues and can’t arrest citizens. Immigration officers have authority to criminally arrest anyone for any “offense against the United States” (interfering with a federal officer would count) and any felony they witness.
I'm hearing a lot of talk that they did not have legal authority to compel a U.S. citizen to exit her car, what's your take on that?

Here’s some things that can be done by a party out of power

- file impeachment articles every day in the House

- withhold unanimous consent in the senate and filibuster every nominee

- be everywhere with comms saying this is lawless and impeachable
