Mixed family traditions at our house means we do both Hanukkah and Christmas, both mostly secular. Multiple menorah are out currently and our Xmas tree has a star of david on top of it. But for Hanukkah we make latkes and brisket (and buy donuts)

Wait did someone really reply to this that you should give them a good reason NOT to steal them - we live in a society!! Social contract indicates in our system you pay people for their goods. This isn’t rocket science

Not to well actually you but many libraries do not contract with Libby (unfortunately) - I know because my (major city) library does not and I had to travel 40 miles to the suburbs and get a county library card to access it. The system my library *does* contract with is pretty garbage

Yeah I get it my most recent minor surgery I have scars from the adhesive tape reaction all next to the actual incision scars.

Autumn in La Jolla is hard to predict - probably some sort of upwelling in ocean bringing fish and in turn LOTS of birds (pelican and otherwise). I mean you can always expect at least 1 snorkeler trying to talk to sea lion in the water and me watching to see if their face gets ripped off. Nature 😁

And thousands of pelicans today (in huge numbers in the water and on the rocks) though of @banditelli.org . SoCal autumn isn’t cozy but has its perks
