Mid-life crisis: return to OSRPGs, painting and general escape from the mundane. Happiness through imagination and camaraderie. He/him. #grognard

100%. Even before we get to private sector workers are we saying GPs and head teachers aren’t working for a living?
November 12, 2025 at 1:16 PM
Likewise.

He’s grown cooler as he’s aged.

It’s meaningless filler. Until the most recent films they didn’t try and cross refer in the films. So just pick an actor and make a movie. If the story’s good we’ll all be happy.

My experience is that cock-up is the norm. Conspiracy is what they wish they could achieve.

Collapsed they say? It looks more like something clawed its way out…

If the BBC didn’t exist what would

You’re right. Of course we famously didn’t go to war over Sudetenland.

I agree though with your central point that at the start of the war, it wasn’t opposition to fascism/Nazism as ideologies that motivated British policy, but commitment to our alliances.

Suspect you’re right if you mean would a war have been started to stop his policies in Germany. But not sure there’s a counterfactual where he doesn’t annexe Sudetenland, and he has to go through Poland to get to the USSR.

Perhaps the mafia did something with this giant horse’s head
November 9, 2025 at 8:40 PM
That was my immediate thought too.

They’re great.

Still convinced it’s the Comte de St Germain.

Not correcting you to be a pain, but rather as a follower of your posts, I know you’d want to be accurate. 😀

Laurence Binyon I think. From his poem For the Fallen. Written before Larkin was born.

Prepared to allow for actual Lebanese people being creative. And I quite like Hummus bil Lahmeh in a Lebanese or Turkish restaurant, with lamb sitting in the centre. Yum.

But supermarket stuff. Bleagh!

100%. They only piss about with it to mask how cheap and crap it is.
November 8, 2025 at 10:40 AM
The one I come from. Modern day Perth.

I do think a lot of the crooked PPE profiteers are getting away with it because Mone is such a fantastic self-regarding pantomime villain.
November 6, 2025 at 8:01 AM
Perhaps an extra skid dice.
November 5, 2025 at 6:24 PM
There should be a dice mechanism to reflect your potential drunk driving!
November 5, 2025 at 6:24 PM
So cool.
