I'm an artist and web developer living in BC, Canada (on the traditional land of the shishalh people). I love art, cats, chocolate, European pastries, painting and gardening, and I'm passionate about preserving the biodiversity of life on Earth.
I know, right!? And so many US news outlets present it as being just about tariffs. Very few mention DT's threats to annex Canada using economic force. Or the fact that we might get locked up if we cross the border. Or that we don't support the administration's violence towards its own citizens.

Wow, that's impressive!

I am SO disappointed in this guy. Like many Canadians I was relieved when he became PM instead of Poilievre. But he's throwing us all under the climate-change bus with his support for LNG production and bogus carbon-capture technology.

I am yet again furious with our governments (BC and Canada, in my case) for acting like short-sighted infants by ignoring climate change.

Sold.

Just a reminder that voting Liberal is not always the right choice to defeating Poilievre's Conservatives!

Check the polling results of your own riding to see which progressive party has the best chance of beating the Conservative in your riding. In some cases it will be the NDP, Greens, or Bloq.

Well, it's the only thing I can think of that would make Trump's actions make sense...

But yes, bonkers times indeed.

The most important thing the BC government can do to protect the Fraser River is to reject the Tillbury LNG on environmental grounds!

A December 2024 article in The Narwhal states that "Imperial Metals now wants to expand the Mount Polley mine and continue discharging effluent into a lake." Will your government protect our waters by refusing to grant this expansion?
March 15, 2025 at 3:08 AM
And why did it take 10 years before charges were brought against Imperial Metals for the Mount Polley mine disaster, which released 25 billion litres of toxic sludge into BC waterways?
March 15, 2025 at 3:07 AM
But your government has been allowing the mining industry to pollute BC's rivers so badly that the US EPA complained in 2020, demanding the provincial government hand over data explaining why Teck Resources coal mines in southern B.C. are being allowed to exceed guidelines for a toxic heavy metal.

OMG, that's horrible! When you start putting politics before family, you might just be in a cult...

A&W is our go-to place when we are on the road. I love that they have veggie burgers. (But I guess I should be boycotting those for now as they use Beyond Meat, which is American.)
