Can be found regretting life choices and getting distracted by pretty rocks.
I'm one who takes the plastic off as soon as there are a few seedlings, never peppers, though. I haven't grown them from seed. Good luck!!

I stuck 1 raspberry cane in a raised bed once and within 3 years the bed was full. Tastiest Mother's Day gift that I had nowhere else to plant ever! ♥️

If you wash them, it's fine. I have my Amish Paste tomato seeds I saved last year in one of mine. I washed it out well, rinsed well, and made sure it was thoroughly dry before using it. For big seeds like beans etc, I use mason jars.

So, Grammie grows her own squash and saves the seeds from the best tasting ones? Very cool landrace criteria! Can't wait to see the results.😍.
I'm going to try to grow 'Honeynut' butternut squash this year. I'll save seed if I am successful. I haven't grown squash for quite a while.

I'm in Atlantic Canada and we have milk in 4 liter bottles. I get my extended family to save theirs for me. 4 liter water bottles are great too.
How about salad greens containers? Those work, as do rotisserie chicken containers. Good luck.

I hope your projects are successful

What plants did you use in your fermentation? Did you add anything else? I'm planning on using a large bucket to make a concentrate in a couple of months (it's snowing today...no weeding or plant harvesting yet).

And this Autumn I will pop in Daffodils☺️

I have comfrey roots trying to grow in the greenhouse and 2 highbush blueberries that we're moving from home to our land. I'm considering sedums for ground cover close to the tree trunks, and everbearing strawberries. I will seed some things into the guilds when I run out of garden space, too.

Better to ask what I am not putting in the guilds! I'm planting 6 new fruit trees in May, so my guild plans are for various herbs, flowers, vegetables, and maybe smaller shrubs. Herbs I have already or have seeded for transplants are hyssops, peppermint, oregano, chives, walking onions, and lovage

I wanted to plant heaps of daffodils last fall but my budget wasn't having it. This year I'll have guilds to settle them into, so I'll have to start a Daffodils Savings account ☺️. We have a lot of hares where our slowly evolving permaculture property is. Everyone's daffs are gorgeous in May💖
