I got distracted today by an application dating from 2008 for a church in Norfolk to repair the reredos "damaged by an earthquake". I'd totally forgotten about that.

You can do really anything to a listed building except demolish it as long as you have a good reason for doing it, the money to do it properly, and the people to do it well.

I have not so far successfully persuaded my mother to throw out the Herbes de Provence she was given by her mother when she left home. In approximately 1970.
