A few nights ago, I was looking through 1851 death notices (fun!) and saw that often death, at least in Couny Derry, was caused by a "visitation of God.”

I wish we could skip this whole trump fascist part and get straight to the backlash.

I used to see almost only Palestine in my feed. 🍉Then, briefly, it was cute babies. Now my feed is apocalyptic. How to survive in your home using the techniques of Navy Seals; how to create your own emergency kit; what to do when the grid stops working and/or martial law is declared.

Instead of watching the you-know-what, I hung out with the baby today. I told him we're getting all the bad stuff out of the way, so when he's older it will be all blue sky.

In Christina Sharpe’s brutal ORDINARY NOTES, she mentions a practice she calls Everyday Beauty: every day she “takes photographs of flowers, trees, the light, clouds, the sky, moss, water, many things, in order to try to insist beauty into my head and into the world.”
I need to do that.

When I read that over 100 Israeli doctors had signed a letter calling for the military to bomb hospitals in Gaza, I didn't believe it. Like so many things in the past month, my first thought was: that can't possibly be true.
