Currently trying it for the first time. Fiddly but satisfying. I’ve gone for a simple one colour pattern to start with

Found a baby picture earlier. There’s a reason this guy is spoiled rotten

Been out saving lives again. Today’s snacks were s&v crisps and a Kit Kat. #GiveBlood

These are the best crisps ever. Seriously in danger of ruining all my good work at the gym

J passed his A Levels (hurrah) but now he’s going away to university (sad face). Doesn’t seem possible as surely this was only about 5 years ago

This morning’s entertainment. Absolutely loved it. Her paintings really come to life when you can see the textures and scale. Saville’s drawings and studies are stunning. Highly recommended

Finished Birding yesterday. Such a great book with wonderful characters. So wise on memory, baggage and choices. I’ll be thinking about it for ages. Thanks for writing it @regretteruane.bsky.social 🥰

Just spent a few days in my happy place (Lake Como). I’ll now be refreshed and relaxed for at least the next 3 hours

Quote with a pic of you from the 80s

Looking cheerful. Don’t know what happened to that hat.

Probably one of the most played records I have. Sublime. Still can’t believe the record company didn’t see what was (excellently) coming. The clues were there guys

Ok, you massive idiot, that’s it now

Sent my best mate flowers for her birthday today. Apparently delivered Sunday but actually not. Just chased it up. Well done those couriers

Been busy being amazing this morning. Now I can get back to being just adequate. Really busy there today, which is good news #GiveBlood

Been doing some planting in my little outdoor space. I’m not allowed to use the cat’s look-out post. That pot is his. Zoom in for his look of total defiance.

Watched Flow this afternoon. Absolutely stunning film. Breathtakingly beautiful and quite dark.

Of course this means that Poley Bear is 18 too. Happy birthday to him 🥳
April 29, 2025 at 7:06 PM
Can’t quite believe it but I now have an 18 year old. An adult. This picture seems like yesterday (Poley Bear is still very much part of the family). This might make some of you who have known me for a while feel very old.

Catching up with the Paul Simon documentary that was on earlier. Didn’t catch what year this was but Paul Simon and Shirley Collins at the wonderful De La Warr Pavilion? Build me a time machine please
April 19, 2025 at 10:36 PM
Don’t Fall turned up on my running playlist this morning so now I’m listening to this. Still great. Might have a Chameleons day.

Had an excellent day at Tate Modern yesterday. The Bowery exhibition was very full on, much like the man himself. Loved the Mire Lee installation in the Turbine Hall. Spent a long time watching it from every angle

Toots has been with us for just over a year now. Amazing what a small fluff ball can grow into. We adore the little monster
