Data. Queer. Weird.

I write the T in ELT with dbt, SOGI data is my passion, I'd rather be a data journalist.
At the moment, I believe its about age in the movement, not calendar age. Being queer is one thing. Being in the queer movement is another.

I'm not sure if you know, but how would it compare with George Lakoff?

The flaw in this is that even just basic HTML is accessible, so you literally need to actively remove accessibility with stuff Ike outline: none; There's some baked in ignorance which devs absolutely can do something about.

It's a horrible cycle. For high and low needs people. And how 'easy' it is to get needs, but people won't know, cause it's no visible.

Maybe it would help you understand if I explain the movement is not equivalent to all LGBTs.

The movement is the people doing the work - the activists w/tiny to huge actions.

It's not that we lost momentum. It's that the white GL's

ABANDONED US

At the time, I thought the movement was wrong to try to stop it. I thought marriage would be the sea change we needed. We were just seizing the opportunity.

I was younger then. I thought assimilation would work.

There are also at least 5.6 million intersex people. & the rest of the alphabet.

Why do you think I'm not repeating what my elders taught me?

Heck, I was even in the room for years before it came up. Marriage was NOT on the agenda. The movement even tried to stop the white gay guy's lawsuit because it was the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Where did I say close to "all LGBTQIA are poly"? A white gay got GL a shot at what would make their lives feel =, hijacked, & then *abandoned*

Of course I want marriage & we should have it.

But it wasn't supposed to be the next thing & it wasn't supposed to prompt a mass exodus

~pre-2000s != 2000s+. Also: Plenty of structural barriers now. Marriage wasn't required to get any of those wins. It was faster, conformist, & re-enforced entrenched power. Ok, fine. Great, we got a piece of =. Then instead of pushing forward for something like ENDA/EQUALITY Act, we got abandoned.

"couples" itself is assimilationest. I'm saying it was a white gay & lesbian want. Maybe also others with a ton of privilege. But marriage was to avoid lawyer $ to setup inheritance. It was about conforming & getting invited to straight's parties. It was about being offended at not having privilege.
