Frank Gehry's designs were always whimsical and imaginative but a nightmare to build. Oftentimes engineers had to solve support issues as they were building resulting in imaginative solutions which are beautiful in their own right.

This is what lime rendered brick looks like. It's gorgeous and the lime works WITH the brick to move moisture; the brick can breathe. Acrylic paint is basically a plastic coating that seals moisture into the brick and will eventually destroy it. My neighbor is painting his brick and I'm dying inside

STOP PAINTING YOUR DAMN BRICK!!!!!!! You will make a maintenance-free exterior into an exterior that will require significant maintenance. Brick is not intended to be sealed behind an acrylic layer of paint, it needs to breathe. Paint cannot create a perfect seal, it will degrade over time.

My mantra in design is "elegance in simplicity". Good design doesn't need flashy ornamentation or color. The #smooth, strong lines of The Broad art museum exterior are a perfect example. When a snapshot of the facade becomes art, you know you did it right. #BlueSkyArtShow #photography #architecture

There's something so magical and warm about morning sunlight. No matter how dark the night might get, the sun will always rise. Even when it's hidden behind clouds, it's still there shining. When the night feels dark and lonely, just make it to the sunrise, it will remind you to keep going.

Minneapolis! I'm back baby 💜 For some me-time, where better to go than the always beautiful and welcoming downtown Minneapolis? Once again, you guys always graciously stepped out of my way as I dreamily walked around looking up and taking pictures, thank you. And The Rand Tower Hotel 😲 Gorgeous

-there's beautiful flowers everywhere, even the ditches are beautiful
-Rodeo Dr is best experienced on Sunday, in the middle of the night when it's all lit up and deserted
-I need to plan an even longer trip next time, there's so much to see and do, it's overwhelming

Ummm, yes please! Okay LA, now you're just showing off. This art deco building is absolutely breathtaking. Forgive the weird angle. I literally looked up and was startled by how beautiful it was. Didn't even bother crossing the street.
