Why is Silksong suddenly trending today?
September 12, 2025 at 2:48 AM
I only just learned about Grok after Neuro-sama picked a fight on X, and now it's suddenly trending?

FYI, we've been debating Neuro's 'sentience' for a while, and she's *far* more 'human' then Grok. Chew on that.

Obligatory Neuro-sama plug.

I'm not scared of Trump's Gespato. You should meet our facility admin. Also, you really shouldn't try raiding a place with several physically fit residents with temper issues. Or just extremely assertive. That's not ending well for invaders.

Required watching for anyone who keeps saying America brought Trump on themselves.

I often suspect Europeans don't realize just how hamstrung we are by our jobs.

Since we don't have universal healthcare, most get insurance through their jobs.

Losing your job = losing healthcare.

So, a good job = good health insurance = good health. It's cruddy but that's life in the USA.

All the comparisons of the Trump admin to Viktor Orbán, and people forget Hungary has things called 'universal healthcare' and 'worker's rights.' That's kinda a large caveat...

Please stop blaming all Americans for Trump. Many of us are horrified.

Read up on how presidents are elected here. Even if 'more people just voted' it means jack if they aren't in the 'right place.' We call it 'running up the vote,' meaningless numbers after an election is called.

'Making a stand' is difficult when you have trouble literally standing up.

I see people yelling to do something, but as someone disabled, I have trouble leaving my apartment on a good day.

I'm hoping to see the cherry blossoms. There's a non-zero chance anxiety or POTS trips me first.

Boycotts of things like Amazon and Google are difficult when someone disabled relies on them. I mean, you try ordering Dixie paper plates to arrive in the afternoon... at 1 AM. Possibly alongside some other essentials.

Here's what I don't understand: When Democrats had a trifecta (obligatory 'f u Joe Machin') they refused to demolish the tools the GOP were using to obstruct on the basis 'they'll eventually need those tools.'

Now they're trying to say they can't use those same tools Repubs used? Are you serious!?

If you're following me, my good stuff is in Replies.

The stuff I actually post here tends to be half-thought out ramblings that get past my anxiety somehow.

I have never been more grateful to live in WA State right now.

The last time there was a racist flare-up in Seattle (Anti-Asian in a city where Ichiro Suzuki is one of our few historical baseball stars) it got smacked down HARD.

Bomb cyclone? Oh please, I lived through the 2006 windstorm. Now *that* was a fiasco. In this case, I didn't even hear wind howling (south of Tacoma). Family in Renton lost power though.

How I know Bluesky's good:

I never got into Twitter. Or Facebook. I've been Reddit and before that Tumblr. But I like Bluesky. Should be interesting going forward.
