Avid book reader & baker owned by 2 cats, 2 dogs, 1 bunny who enjoys hanging with my kids, walking the beach in off season, and figuring out how to garden.
Watching a laughing gull watch my daughter play acoustic during happy hour. Not a bad view he has.

Hr@opm.gov. Perhaps everyone should let them know what we, as Americans, did last week.

Even Skully & Carolina hate the doctors office. But they believe in science and are getting their vaccines today.

Back in the day, my best friend and I would spend our time on the subway looking at people’s shoes and create a whole lifestyle and back story based on the footwear. I miss those days with Rey. And those train rides.

I wanted her to pursue music. She wanted to work for the government to make a difference. With her job offer rescinded maybe she’ll be a history degree holding pop star?

Hey Ladies! Looks like the women are doing the work in Congress (Collins, Duckworth, Murkowski all voting no on Hegseth.) Looks like it’s our time to actively resist. To up my game I just bought Rev Marianne Edgar Budde’s book, How We Learn To Be Brave (did NOT buy on Amazon.) Let’s do this!

My girl is riding out the day and her fractured paw in her favorite bed. :)

Takes 11 y.o. very active dog to vet for sudden limp.
Vet: she fractured her paw (outside toe.) You have 2 options. We can splint for 6-8 weeks or we can amputate the paw.
Me: why is option 2 an option?
Vet: Lots of people don’t want to deal with the weeks of splint/care/recovery.
Humans suck.
