Today in my PRL 604 class we started to look at Muck Rack, a software database company used to track and reach media outlets. I have previously used Muck Rack at my old internship, so I was really excited to find out we'll be using it in our coursework.

My favorite app, Spotify, is an excellent example of how companies or brands can utilize tools such as "trends mining" to categorize massive amounts of data in order to predict future trends. Their campaign, Spotify Wrapped, is often used to predict the future of emerging genres, artists and trends.
