This is also why I don't use the term nazi. As though that is the epitome of racism, anti-semitism, etc in the world. white americans were terrorizing and slaughtering indigneous nations and enslaved Black people before WW II, during WW II and post WW II.

Grief is non linear. There were moments after she passed that it just seemed like I had moved through it. It took me a moment to realize that it will never leave and that it would just manifest differently at different times.

At the same time its a gut punch reminder that my sister is no longer here. We were practically twins...she was a born a year and a week after me. We attended all of the same schools together, even college. So intertwined. And her death broke me in a way that I may never recover from.
