Genuinely movie of the year kinda shit here. I'm not huge on how many of the characters died but oh my god this movie was so great at setup and payoff, as well as recreating some super fascinating folklore too

I am very conflicted about this movie now that it's come and gone

A TON of stuff that I love is here, no doubt about that at all; action and fanservice is top notch

But the center theme is just so weirdly anti-immigrant for some reason and it sucks

Holy SHIT dude I was not expecting Porter to not just live up to the hype but absolutely transcend it, this is a new all-timer for me

Wonder Woman: Dead Earth

A bleak but ultimately very hopeful book with absolutely GORGEOUS artwork

Not a huge fan of the twist midway through with the Amazons though

Superman/Batman: Supergirl

It's got a lot of stuff to like in it but I'm sorry I just can't get over how much I don't like its sexualization of Kara, she's not written poorly but idk I feel like Loeb infantilizes her a bit too much

Superman: Up in the Sky

Morbid curiosity while at my library leads to terrible decisions

Another T*m King book and it just doesn't live up to hype at all

Batman: Wayne Family Adventures (up to date)

I really like it!

Yeah it does woobify and water down the more serious parts of its cast, but later on makes up for it by being able to balance its slice of life with genuine character moments

Batman/Superman: World's Finest (dropped)

Aimless, but fun little stories of DC's older cast to try and bring back that Silver Age magic, but unfortunately the longer plots and lack of Dan Mora's artwork later on made it increasingly boring

Aquaman: Andromeda

Super eerie book, but one with a ton of underlying heart buried underneath its slow burn horror. LOVE how they handle Arthur's insecurities
