I’m thinking Freddie on that one - this was a huge standing O when he got back from his son’s illness

This is the population distribution of Angola, which is unusual because of the dip in middle age categories. The reason is that Angola ended a civil war in 2002, and a lot of middle age people died in that war.

People die. Lots of people die. For what? Isn‘t it easier to divorce than murder?

I haven’t seen too many technologies vary from the Gartner hype cycle.

AI does have great promise - but not so much the LLMs. It’s mostly about culling the stupid.

Yes, who knew? Never saw that coming - totally different from all the other tech adoptions.

“Global warming changes the odds,” said Kevin Trenberth, a distinguished scholar with the National Center for Atmospheric Research who has published on the topic of increasing atmospheric water vapor since the 1990s.”

…since the 90’s.

Not just race. Heres an example - the state senate districts. If you know Houston, you know the blue areas are mostly inside the loop in the middle, and it gets redder the farther out from there. Now, do you see any districts inside the loop that don’t stretch way out into red areas? Exactly.

Here's a few moments with John, a few months ago, enjoying a tribute to his music by the LA Phil at the Disney Concert Hall.

Oh boy! Reagan's space balls is back (or was it Star Wars?). Maybe get MTG to engineer it this time - that ought to do it.

Independents are simply people who are registered to vote but have not declared a party, or voted in a primary. They can lean either way. They are the largest voter segment and growing. Dems used to do well with them, but not last election.

People in Texas can bring firearms into campaign events - BTW, Beto handled it well.

...and Milken is complaining about the effort it takes to get permits to build in Malibu. Of course he is... yuk, yuk.

I was just thinking that very same thing. And how much Dedra resembles Pam Bondi - I mean, it’s scary.

Must watch - then rewatch Rogue One - which picks up where Andor leaves off (same writer too, Tony Gilroy, who also wrote the Bourne series and Michael Clayton). Top Tier stuff.

I was wondering where they find those Mar-a-lago styles. What? Too catty?

More than "hindered" - actively undermined by stupid policies that will make this accomplishment short-lived.

Here's the shipping activity in the Pacific now. The bulk of those vessels would have been spread across CA ports in the past.
