Top work by the @sciencecampaign.bsky.social team pulling this together and thanks to all the other organisations we have worked with and have supported the letter. International talent is crucial to a thriving R&D sector that benefits the whole UK.
In advance of the forthcoming Immigration White Paper, CaSE and 36 other organisations have written to select Westminster Parliamentarians to restate our collective view of the importance of attracting international talent to the UK’s R&D and university sectors for economic growth.

My arm! It’s famous (ish). Great to be with @aliciagreated.bsky.social as she gave evidence today
A lack of strategic oversight of university financial challenges could lead to serious unintended consequences for UK R&D.

Higher education institutions' R&D contribution is vital to the functioning of the wider research ecosystem in both tangible and intangible ways.

Finally got around to something that's been on the to do list for ages today. Putting together a timeline of all the work @sciencecampaign.bsky.social did with many others to secure association to Horizon Europe. www.sciencecampaign.org.uk/about/achiev...
Horizon Europe Association - CaSE
Ahead of and since the UK’s decision to leave the EU in 2016, CaSE has successfully advocated for the UK to associate with Horizon Europe and other EU research programmes.

Thanks fab @aliciagreated.bsky.social for such a well-chaired, energising and thoughtful round table on "The role of Research + Development in delivering UKGov missions".
Diverse thoughts around: knowledge, politics, drivers, networks, messaging with policy + public, and what needs to change.
