I’ve been playing with grey scale as well! It helps a lot, especially if I do a tonal study all in one colour. Introducing other colours is what makes it hard for me but I’m learning to ‘see’ differently now

I’m still learning a lot. I struggle with value and perspective, but for me it’s all about play and experimentation. This mystical guy is my favourite painting!

Gorgeous! I’ve started doing watercolour painting this year and I’m so happy I did. Even just making blobs on a page gives me a sense of calm and fulfilment
