this take is almost zero degrees kelvin.

My favorite alternatives (in no particular order, as funds allow): tidal, bandcamp, buying merch at shows

hmm. I'm writing this down next to "expert sex change" and "power genitalia"

okay, I *may* retire my magic wand for this ...

Same goes for Indian food.

If folks at a place don't have patience for white-people bullshit, and they're still around and rated that high, it *must* be good.

*fuck*. This makes me feel grizzled and ancient.

But for conditionally assigning *one of* two expressions to a *single* variable it gets even better ... this optimization works *sometimes* in *some* languages for *some* compiler flags (looking at specific C89 code/compilation here), and a lot of us have developed this as a general habit.

Wait, they were trying to assign multiple variables via ternary?!

... god *damn*

Generally speaking the expression evaluation rules are dictated by language spec, and stuff like C/C++ won't even *evaluate* the second case if the first is satisfied (even Java's been fixed in the last 20 years) ...

It's easier to do it from command line anyways.

I'll take standard unix utilities for $800, Alex:
sort -n -t . -k 1,1 -k 2,2 -k 3,3 -k 4,4 <(
for i in {1..1000}; do
printf "%d.%d.%d.%d\n" $((RANDOM%256)) $((RANDOM%256)) $((RANDOM%256)) $((RANDOM%256))
done
) | tee sortedIps
