I hope you're right. Hopefully there will be a proper reckoning before those involved have shuffled off this mortal coil

Because it's LNP's skeletons that Labor is helping keep in the closet.

Probably so that LNP will return the favour when Labor lose government.

Having said that LNP winning government anytime soon looks unlikely.

Given Labor's track record on seeking to reduce transparency, I don't think they'll be seeking to seek justice for Robodebt.

They just want to continue pretending to take action hoping this will pull the will over the electorate's eyes.

What galls me is that the government does not care. It's like they are actively undermining trust in government.

The duopoly has delivered for the electorate: we are one of the richest societies in the world & had enjoyed a high standard of living.

Those good times are ending though, with the widening inequality.

The political apathy is kinda like climate change: by the time most realise it, it's too late.

Perhaps it is our democratic system that does not allow us granularity to vote on issues rather than having to take whatever the least worst candidate or party offers.

And the lack of political engagement in the electorate certainly suggests they don't care to chew gum whilst walking.

Others have said Labor's landslide election win is attributed to the fear that the opposition would get in.

I understand the fear - so does that mean the electorate don't necessarily condone the other Labor shenanigans?

Kinda like climate change - by the time we suffer the consequences of humanity's climate pollution, it will be too late to do anything about it.

Best get a lot of gold bricks when you need to rebuild it.
