Since we don't exactly know what Horii and the translator said to each other before and after "remake", I just wouldn't jump to conclusions.

We could translate this as: "You take responsibility for it, if it's true it's a big news coming out of Comicon". And then the translator asks something to Horii and says "You heard nothing!".

Maybe he was just talking about a rumor and somehow Horii confirmed it?

Which is: "I think I've heard, if I remember correctly, that a remake is in the works or it has already released". Then the host said to him "Te ne assumi la responsabilità, se è vero è una bomba che esce da Comicon".

I wanted to add that the translator exactly says (I cut that part in the previous post but I think it's important) this to the host with an unsure tone.

"Tra l'altro io credo di aver afferrato, se ricordo bene, che è in corso un remake del gioco o è già uscito".

The fact that he asked something to Horii and then said "Nobody heard anything" would let me think that probably the remake exists, but from this clip... it's not really clear.

Considering that what Horii says is not that clear (I also don't know Japanese that well), I wouldn't rule out the possibility that what the translator is referring to here is something he has heard in the past.

The one who said that is the translator. However, I want to point out that the translator says: "Tra l'altro credo di aver afferrato, se ricordo bene, che un remake [...]", which can be translated as "By the way I think I've heard, if I remember correctly, that a remake is in the works [...]".
