There are few bright spots in the world right now. However, if we're looking for positives, it is extremely funny that Canadian conservatives are on track to blow a ~160-projected-seat lead as a result of two things right-wingers thought they wanted: Trump beating Biden, and Trudeau resigning.

The book I'm reading (Mapmatics by Paulina Rowińska) talks about the first physiographic map of the ocean floor but unfortunately fails to include a picture of it. Fortunately, it's available on the University of Chicago website.

Reading this book about the mathematics of maps and it’s pretty good, except she just said that Alaska is next to the Canadian PROVINCE of Yukon and now I must pedantically question all the other supposed truths herein. 😠
