While still reeling from the latest claims of bias, BBC put out headline that emphasises the view of one party to the proceedings, despite a very different account being offered by opposing counsel. How predictable

⬇️ just drawn to my attention, as I’m not on X. Michael did contact me for comment on his book.
He omits to mention however, that while he used appropriate pronouns for others in the chp, he chose to use my surname 30 times in order to avoid having to do so. Yet seems to have expected a response. 🤷♀️

Non-feminist and increasingly unhinged Torygraph reports that non-feminist campaigners accuse the Quakers (a religious group standing up to power for hundreds of years often at great personal cost) of undermining their legacy cos they support trans ppl.

And speaking of Bowie (and I share the love, Natasha) here he is with muse and trans lover, Romy Haag in 1976.

RIP Clem Burke.
Parallel Lines was one of the first albums I bought and what a fantastic album it still is.

Still waiting for festival pictures from this year's 'My Death Waits' Bowie lecture, but here's a pic from Jan 2020 when I presented on Burroughs and Bowie. What a great festival. x

The next lecture on the tour will be at David Bowie Festival in Dublin on Friday 28 Feb.
PS. While death is the theme, the lecture will be uplifting, joyful even. Most festival events charge but this lecture is free so, if you’re in Dublin, come along and say hi. Everyone says hi. x

Just reread @Richardnskinner.bsky.social collection of essays, Vade Mecum, on the train to Nottingham.
Really enjoyed his analysis, especially of the essays on Ishiguro, Alice Munro, Burroughs and the film, Chinatown.
