Graves has been homeless for six years now and it's been hard to find places to be, whether its shopkeepers turning her down from the restroom (even the Lake Street Community Safety Center, a resource hub by the light rail that the city funded for half a million dollars, has a bright orange "no public restroom" sign) or police moving her along on the sidewalk. this is such a funny response to someone asking how to convert a number to text within Cognos.
Incidentally, I misunderstood the intention of the post initially. I assumed you were trying to convert numbers to words, eg 2137 --> Two thousand one hundred and thirty seven If ever you need this, I have a technique. Cheers! MF.

growing up in Houston, one of my favorite parts of the commute to school was looking at the Mary’s murals and window art. My favorite was always the Easter displays. I loved hearing my mom tell stories about her coworkers who performed at Mary’s.

The Galveston Historical Foundation (GHF) has partnered with city and Texas officials to begin the process of creating a Juneteenth center, which according to the foundation would "provide a lasting resource for education, reflection, and heritage tourism." The city of Galveston unanimously passed a resolution in support of a center on June 26. State Rep. Terri Leo-Wilson, a Republican who represents Galveston, helped the city receive state recognition as the "Official Juneteenth Capital of Texas" and secured $7 million in funding for the city during this year's legislative session. "Juneteenth not only recognizes freedom from slavery but also the right and importance of freedom for everyone," Galveston Mayor Craig Brown said in a statement. "This is what makes Juneteenth not only a Galveston event but a national event."

this is an issue on washington between dowling and lyndale as well. perfectly car sized. it doesn’t help that the barriers disappear every 20ft for business entrances.

the city’s callousness toward its residents will continue to lead to nightmare scenarios like this. we shouldn’t have to live in the mayor’s Saw fantasy.
But if the contractor doesn't hear anything indicating people are still inside, without a legal right to enter, the building is not being checked each time to ensure no one remains inside before the new access points are boarded up and then have steel grates placed in front of the boards, reenforcing them.
