I was just informed of this news while making the rounds on my Discord servers. Rebecca Heineman was a true icon in the gaming industry. I've really enjoyed hearing and reading on how they did porting of various games, my personal favorite story was the Doom 3DO port.

Every year, I'm highly disappointed that my picks for game of the year don't receive GOTY.
This year, they've managed to disappoint me even before the awards!

I'm disappointed but not shocked to see Blue Prince miss the cut, given that it's English only and many of the judges are outside of the US/UK.
Not much suspense here - Clair Obscur is the fan favorite and has the best narrative (ex-Ubisoft devs go indie), even if there are more interesting games

I'm working on audio implementation for a game jam game, working on a way to fade out audio when a thing happens, but ended up fading in the volume to the point it was blasting out my eardrums! Glad my hardware isn't damaged!

When I entered the hotel lottery for MAGfest, I decided to book a hotel with the option to pay later.
So, I didn't win the lottery, but the hotel I booked is on the list of shuttled hotels to MAGfest. I also got it at a cheaper rate than the MAGfest discount price! 😎

I feel like a god right now.

This mini-doc left a big impression on me when I was younger. The music section of this mini-doc was the one section I was fascinated by and remember to this day. This game still has some of the best ambient music I've ever heard.
Check out this amazing remastered (at 4k!) version of "The Making of Myst" mini-doc! Originally included on the Myst CD-ROM in 1993, this version has been carefully recreated by Ted Sase using footage preserved by the VGHF!
