Somehow never seen this one to the end before, which is strange, so much to recommend. Robert Holmes script, making something everyday truly terrifying. All on location and the only complete serial in HD for 40years. Not my favourite era but so well done.

To hear Cartmel talk this was the pinnacle of the season. Like so many of the stories he loves it fails to construct a story that works on face value so I can’t credit the subtext. Still it’s better produced than others with good music. And so ends classic who.

My favourite classic episode.
Time paradoxes, a companion story woven into events, and time travel based family revelations. This episode always served to show how much more the show could be. Better production values than 2005, amazing cast. Just wonderful

Kind of regret giving Battlefield an 8 as this is so much better on the production front and just the ideas driving it. Direction, music, it’s all perfect. Sadly battlefield (a little too long) stole an episode from this one, which is a little short but not over explaining suit it

That line now would send the anti woke brigade nuts (never mind the black female Brigadier the episode before).
I miss the days when I wasn’t thinking “that line is angering some incel”

Blimey, tempting to make it a 9 for the speech which had no equal in Doctor Who until the Zygon inversion. Direction falters a little, Destroyer is amazing, plot holds together better than I remembered. Wouldn’t have been out of place in the Hinchcliffe era.

Like most episodes in these two seasons the not so subtle subtext took centre stage, but it’s fun, great soundtrack, good casting and far better direction than the preceding two.

Time travelling through potion drinking. This really was the kitchen sink episode. Ace elevates everything but errr… can’t say anything nice about the script

Still waiting for the black and white special edition which I think is the one thing that could elevate it. Verity Lambert called out this episode as devoid of merit, and for me it is. I give no points for subtext if the story doesn’t work on a basic level

So weird to have a nearly perfect serial in the middle of the worst period. Especially with the updated visuals. Played up the Nazi angle and called out some of the UKs racist past, would be denounced as woke these days. World is mad.

Similarly great look in the early episodes (Eldrad is what the Cryons should have looked like), fairly unsatisfying ending, but one of the best send offs for any companion

Please, boycott all American products, do not put a penny into their economy - they've chosen to be the enemy of democratic nations, we must choose not to fund them.

It speaks to the mindset of the people at the top of Apple if they're looking at what is happening in the US and going "this is fantastic, lets get behind this".
I'm finally making the switch to Samsung next upgrade, Apple products suck lately.
